Apples are rosy

April 22, 2009

I arrived home this evening to discover the arrival of the new MacBook Pro (17″). Aside from the sheer beauty of it, the wonderful screen (not more flipping between windows) it took less than an hour to set it up. A backup of the old MacBook using TimeMachine, a simple menu driven set up which took 3 minutes. Two episodes of South Park later and all my apps and data are on the new machine.

My son took two days to set up his new Vista based machine. From opening the box, to settling down to email and writing this post was less than ninety minutes.
