Part of my domestic duties today included boxing up various materials from my parents’ former house, to place in my loft. I had cleared them all out without thinking too much some months ago before the house was finally sold. Today I took a bit more time going through old photographs and memories. Its interesting to find out what your parents chose to keep as mementos of their children. In my case my mother seemed most interested in various debating trophies, and the expulsion letter from University for revolutionary activity, to-wit occupying the Vice Chancellors office for several days. The University were eventually proved guilty of a breech of natural justice and I learnt a lot about jurisprudence in practice rather than lectures. In both respects I was following a family tradition that spanned several generations (debating and dissent). Either way I thought I would share this, just to prove that once upon a time I had hair. I wonder what became of Ann?
