I need an audience!

March 7, 2013

Up to London today to give the opening keynote to the combined Public and Finance sector Agile conference in London.   Unlike Tuesday there was an audience here to interact with, and that makes a real difference.   I probably gave the presentation I should have given in Göteborg but dropped the complex domain model this time in the interests of time.  Other speakers may be able to cope, but I need an audience.  Even a hostile one is better than anonymity.  Speaking is an emotional experience, it needs interaction.

A plus point was to see Nick Pow in the audience.  He was one of the two “Nicks' that were the core team when I first moved into IBM.  One of the best facilitators I know and a real please to find him again after too many years.
