KMWorld - the resilent organisation

November 18, 2010

The first keynote I gave at KM world over a decade was one of the best I have given and today’s falls into the same class. There are times where one just gets into the grove and the audience resonates, responds and revitalizes you. It’s recorded here and I’ll let it speak for itself. It’s all about resilience and the need to take a science based approach to management. It’s also an all out attack on mechanistic approaches to the organisation with several side swipes at the worst type of management guru. One of my better extemporary aphorisms was Platitudes do nothing but give balm to the incompetent. I had a few authors in mind when I came up with that one, but it will give you a flavor of the event. The Tweet stream is at #kmw10 for those interested.

… and now to the airport and an overnight back to the UK. Rugby matches Friday evening and Sunday, flight to Singapore Sunday evening for KM Asia.
