Public transport

November 20, 2009

A quick day trip to Seattle today to meet with our patent lawyers (I still surprise myself every time I say that). I got the light rail out to San Jose Airport, then the new light rail in Seattle. The first cost me $2.00, the second $2.5 for fast journey times comparable with Heathrow to Central London which costs ten times that amount. Travel time comparable with a taxi in both cases as well. Public transport should be around this sort of cost if we are to make any inroads into reducing traffic. Thanks also to Google for providing free wifi at San Jose and Seattle airports for the holiday season.
