The bad old days

November 18, 2006

This morning I had to work on my son’s computer. He dashed off to watch South Africa (hopefully) beat England (who did win one world championship this week) with friends and left me to use my credit card to renew his Norton license. Now its a year since I converted to OSX and the wonders of my Powerbook G4 and I had forgotten what it was like to work with XP (or for that matter to need anti-virus software). However half an hour later with two reboots and a lot of time looking at the screen waiting for something to happened I remembered the full horror of that prior life.
