The only excuse for this nonsense is drugs or alcohol

I fail to see why any intelligent broadcaster would want to inflict a Fox news equivalent on the UK (or anywhere else for that matter. Firstly the distinction between broadcasting and the web has not collapsed not is it likely too any time soon; there are different things and work in different ways. Personally I would extend the obligation for impartiality to the national newspapers. The whole point about democracy is that voters are informed not opined.

Have a look at the Urban dictionary definition of a Blimbonista (hat tip to Robert Neilson for this). Its not just a question of opinion, its about a radical disconnection with the truth and is before we get onto morality.
