Tits, bums and objectivity

December 13, 2010

We are suffering a spate of edit wars from right wing editors on Wikipedia at the moment. Basically they are arguing that a bunch of far right football hooligans are really very nice people solely concerned about Islamic extremism while those who oppose them are left wing extremists. As a part of this they have cited the British tabloid press to support their statements, claiming that these are reliable sources. My thanks to another editor who put together this collation of objective and non-sensationalism examples of professional journalism to make the counter point. One does wonder at times if the idea of press freedom makes much sense if this is the result.
