Welcome to Michael

September 12, 2008

I am very pleased to announce that we have just appointed Michael Cheveldave as Director, Business Development for Cognitive Edge. For some years now Michael has been one of the most successful practitioners in the network through NuOptiks Consulting which he founded several years ago. I have had the pleasure of working with him on several projects and he is always prepared, knowing when to use other people, when to do things himself (a rare and valuable skill); he has the ability to take an abstract idea and weave it into something tangible, understandable and effective.

He is based in Castlegar, British Columbia and will continue to work from there. For some time now Michael has also handled training for us in North America and will continue to grow that role as well as working with clients in support of the network. He has played a significant role in the development of SenseMaker™ leading several pioneering projects. Along with the release of V3.0 of SenseMaker™ and the growth in numbers joining the network this represents a significant point in the development of our vision of open-source consultancy supported by tools and training. I took the picture covertly at our recent development meeting in Cardiff and he can be contacted via his brand new Cognitive Edge email address.
