Whats wrong with last minute shopping?

December 24, 2010

I’ve never understood why various forms of odium are cast on those of us who do our Christmas shopping at the last minute. Today I picked up the Turkey, sausage meat (wild boar), bacon and black pudding from the Butcher at 0700. Into Waitrose at 0800 for vegetables, dairy and alcohol then home to unpack. Dentist for six monthly checkup at 1030. Short drive to catch 1136 train from Bedwyn to London. Bus to Bond Street and then transit via Piccadilly through Oxford Street picking up presents. Bus to Foyles to fill in the gaps then home by 1900. Sensible use of time as far as I am concerned.
