Description

This Advanced Cynefin & Sense-making residential programme offers a deep dive into our theory, practice and tools in a residential retreat-style setting. Including:

  • Anthro-complexity on one slide – AIMS, 3As, Constraints and Constructors
  • All three frameworks as an integrated methods and tools ecosystem:
    • Apex Predator (Flexuous Curves)
    • Estuarine Mapping
    • Cynefin Framework and Mapping
  • Complex facilitation and Hexis
  • Scaffolding and tactics to lead clients into the conversation about complex sense-making
  • Managing uncertainty (putting the EU Field Guide into practice)

 

NOTE: Accommodation is included in ticket price and will be arranged by Cynefin Co team.

Cancellations

Voluntary cancellations are permitted up to 3 weeks prior to the event start and a 50% refund will be provided. No refunds for cancellations made 3 weeks or less prior to event. Attendee substitutions are permitted at any time.

Rescheduling

Cognitive Edge reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule training sessions if staff illness or lockdowns prevent us proceeding. In the event of cancellation or rescheduling, a registered attendee can request a full refund of course fees. Refunds will be processed within ten (10) business days of refund request.

Venue: Snowdonia Mountain Lodge

Located in Eryri, Snowdonia North Wales, returning to Snowdonia Mountain Lodge is something of a homecoming for the Cynefin Co, having hosted here in the past. Now reopening after Covid, the Lodge team as as excited as we are to be coming together again!

Getting there:

  • The closest train station to Snowdonia Mountain Lodge is Bangor, Gwynedd. The train station is a 15-20 minute taxi drive away from the Lodge. 
  • By car, Snowdonia Mountain Lodge is situated on the A5, eight miles south of Bangor and 2 miles south of Bethesda

  • Coming from overseas? The closest airports to Snowdonia Mountain Lodge & Yr Ocar are Manchester international airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport. 

  • By boat, P&O Ferries operates a regular service between  Rotterdam and Hull. For the Calais to Dover route, both P&O Ferries and DFDS Seaways offer crossings.
